Achmea Impact Ventures is the Venture Studio of Achmea. We build startups from day one — with Achmea capital, a full studio team, external founders, and a pool of freelancers who join ventures for short or longer periods. That’s where you come in.

We’re building a small, selective talent pool of freelance professionals who excel in early-stage environments (pre-seed to Series A). We look for talent in roles like Sales/Growth, Marketing, Software Development, UI/UX, Product, CTO/Tech Lead and similar profiles.

This is not an open vacancy. We collect profiles so we can move fast when a relevant role opens up in one of our ventures (this happens regularly throughout the year). If there’s a match, we reach out.

People join our pool so they’re the first to know when a role comes up in an exciting startup, with Achmea backing and real traction.

Non-negotiables:

  • Freelance availability

  • Demonstrable early-stage experience (pre-seed to Series A) with clear ownership + outcomes

  • Your experience must include 0→1 building (not only scaling an existing playbook)

  • Able to work from our Amsterdam office at least 2 days/week

  • Valid working rights in the Netherlands (NO visa sponsorship)

  • You can operate independently, find creative solutions, but also happily work within pre-set ways of working

2–3 Quantifiable 0→1 outcomes at a startup within your domain:

For example:

  • Built first GTM motion and generated €X pipeline / X SQLs in Y months

  • Closed first X paying customers or reached €X MRR/ARR from zero

  • Shipped MVP 0→live in X weeks and scaled to X users / X requests/day

  • Set up the first team/process and increased shipping cadence from X → Y releases/week

  • designed and shipped core MVP flows that improved activation from X% → Y% (or reduced drop-off X% → Y%) within Z weeks

Our roles are probably not suitable if:

  • primarily do advisory / strategy-only work

  • prefer to work with playbooks, or need a fully defined corporate setup before you can start

  • prefer remote-only or occasional office visits

  • Are only looking for long-term assignements
